AI & Editorial Policy
Last updated: 10 October 2026
Clean and Native is run by Jayce Love, a former Royal Australian Navy Clearance
Diver. This page explains exactly how content on this site is produced, so you can
judge how much weight to give it.
Who is responsible
Jayce holds editorial responsibility for everything published here. Every article
is reviewed and approved by him before it goes live, and he is the person to contact
about any error.
How we use AI
- Research and drafting. We use AI tools to gather sources, compare
specifications and produce first drafts. Drafts are then checked against the cited
sources and edited before publication. - Images. Many images on this site are AI-generated illustrations.
Unless a caption says otherwise, an image of a product is an illustration, not a
photo of that product in our home. - What AI does not do. AI does not produce our measurements, and it
does not decide which products we recommend.
What is first-hand, and what isn’t
We own and have measured three products in our Palm Beach QLD home: the EcoHero
5-Stage reverse osmosis system, the TriField TF2 meter and the Coway Airmega 150.
Measurements and first-person observations appear only for those products and are
labelled where they appear. Every other product assessment is based on published
specifications, independent certification (such as NSF/ANSI standards), Australian
standards and regulator guidance. We say so on the page.
Sources
Health and safety statements are based on Australian and international authorities
such as ARPANSA, the NHMRC Australian Drinking Water Guidelines, state water
authorities, the WHO and peer-reviewed research. Where the evidence is weak or
disputed, we say that too.
Independence and money
We earn commissions from some links (see our
Affiliate Disclosure). We don’t accept payment for
placement or positive coverage, and brands don’t review our content before
publication.
