Black Friday Air Purifier Deals Australia 2026: Real Prices Tracked Before the Sale
Drafted with AI assistance and checked against published specifications and certifications. First-hand measurements appear only where stated. How we make content
How this assessment was made. I own and run a Coway Airmega 150 in my bedroom in Palm Beach, QLD; the noise reading and filter photo on this page are mine. I have not tested the other purifiers here: their figures come from the manufacturers’ specifications, and every room size uses the US EPA’s two-thirds rule rather than the box. The prices are my own record from Amazon Australia, checked on 19 October, 26 to 29 October and 5 Nov 2026. I will update this page through the sale.
Amazon Australia’s Black Friday sale runs from Tuesday 17 November to Cyber Monday, 30 November 2026 (as reported by TechRadar Australia), with Black Friday itself on 27 November. A genuine air purifier deal is one below the lowest price the purifier has actually sold for, not below its RRP. The live status below is updated through the sale and tells you which purifiers are at or below their lowest recorded price, and which to wait for.
In the Navy you never took a reading at face value until you had a baseline to compare it with. Sale prices are the same. Without a record of what something sold for last month, a “was $399.99, now $299” tag tells you nothing. This page is that record.
Updated 5 Nov 2026. Amazon AU’s Black Friday sale starts on 17 Nov (as reported by TechRadar Australia). At their lowest recorded price: Levoit Core 300 ($169), Coway Airmega 50 ($159), Philips 3200 ($382) and Levoit Core 600S-P ($459). Dearer than their low, so wait: Coway Airmega 100 ($229; wait for $183), Coway Airmega 150 ($299; wait for $254), Winix 5500-2 ($359.96; wait for $279) and Coway Airmega 400 ($999; wait for $799).

The price tracker: what is a real deal
I started recording Amazon Australia prices for each purifier on 19 October. Amazon’s October Prime Big Deal Days ran from 29 September to 5 October, so none of my pre-sale records fall within an Amazon sale event. The verdict compares today’s price with the lowest price I had recorded before it: below that is a new low and a real deal; equal is at its low; above it, wait. The full history is under the table.

Room sizes use the US EPA rule (smoke CADR in cfm at least two-thirds of the floor area in square feet) on each maker’s published CADR: Coway US smoke CADRs, Winix’s 232 cfm, Levoit US’s 391 cfm for the 600S-P, and the 187 m³/h CADR on Levoit’s AU Core 300 listing (not split by smoke). *Philips publishes its 520 m³/h CADR on China’s GB/T test, which is not directly comparable with the US figures, so I have not converted it. All prices are from Amazon AU listings sold by the brand’s Australian distributor, Coway Australia or Amazon AU itself.
Black Friday 2026 dates in Australia
| Event | Date | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon AU Black Friday sale starts | Tuesday 17 November | Deals can appear any day from here; check the tracker |
| Black Friday | Friday 27 November | Usually the most deals live at once |
| Cyber Monday (sale ends) | Monday 30 November | Last day of Amazon’s sale |
| Bushfire smoke season | Summer, varies by region | Buy before you need it, not on the first smoke day |
Amazon’s dates are as reported by TechRadar Australia, which says Amazon has announced the sale will begin on 17 November and end on Cyber Monday. Other retailers run their own Black Friday weeks, but the purifiers on this page are all sold on Amazon AU by the brand’s distributor or Amazon itself, so that is the price I track.
The prices that went up before the sale
On 5 November, four of the eight purifiers I track cost more than they did in October, and a fifth had only just come back to its low:
| Purifier | Lowest I recorded | Price 5 Nov 2026 | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| Winix 5500-2 | $279 (19 to 28 Oct) | $359.96 | +$80.96 |
| Coway Airmega 400 | $799 (19 Oct) | $999 | +$200 |
| Coway Airmega 100 | $183 (19 Oct) | $229 | +$46 |
| Coway Airmega 150 | $254 (19 Oct) | $299 | +$45 |
| Philips 3200 | $382 (19 Oct) | $382 | back to its low after $395 on 28 Oct |
I can’t tell you why a price moved; Amazon and its sellers change prices constantly. What I can tell you is the arithmetic. If the Winix drops to $299 on Black Friday, that is “25% off RRP” on the badge but $20 more than it sold for in late October. The ACCC has warned retailers about misleading “was/now” and strikethrough pricing before Black Friday, and in June 2025 three retailers each paid a $19,800 infringement notice over allegedly misleading Black Friday “sitewide” sale claims. Its advice to shoppers is the same as mine: check prices before the sale starts.
The purifiers worth buying this Black Friday
These are the purifiers I would actually buy, by room. Prices and comments in this section are as at 5 November; the live status at the top of the page has today’s verdict. Each has a published CADR you can size with, is sold in Australia by the brand’s distributor or Amazon AU, and uses replacement filters you can buy here. A purifier is only as good as its next filter.
Best for bedrooms: Levoit Core 300
Price history$169on 5 Nov, its lowestCADR 187 m³/h (Levoit AU listing), ~15 m² on the EPA rule | Pre-filter + carbon + HEPA in one cylinder | No ioniser | 24 dB Sleep mode | 4.6 stars from 746 ratings | Sold by VeSync (Levoit AU) | $169, RRP $219 (5 Nov 2026)
Check the Levoit Core 300 Price on Amazon →It has sat at $169 every time I have checked since 19 October, so the “$50 off RRP” is its normal price. By CADR per dollar it is still the best value bedroom purifier on this list. If Black Friday takes it under $169, that is a real saving; if not, $169 is fair. Filters (Core 300-RF) are $55 and last six to eight months.
The one I own: Coway Airmega 150

This runs in my 12.5 m² bedroom. It is quiet enough to sleep beside on Silent, and the pre-filter shows what it pulls out of a coastal Queensland house with a dog. I would buy it again, but not at $299 when it sold for $254 on 19 October. That is my target.
Best for living areas: Philips 3200
Living areas520 m³/hCADR, GB/T test (Philips)CADR 520 m³/h on China’s GB/T test (Philips) | HEPA NanoProtect + carbon | No ions or ozone (Philips) | 15 to 47.5 dB(A) | 36 W | Filter ~1 year | 4.9 stars from 44 ratings | Sold by Amazon AU | $382, RRP $549 (5 Nov 2026)
Check the Philips 3200 Price on Amazon →Back at $382 after $395 in late October. Its 15 dB(A) minimum (Philips’ figure; I have not measured it) makes it the one I would short-list for a large bedroom. Treat the RRP as fiction: it has never been near $549 in my checks.
Best for big open-plan rooms: Levoit Core 600S-P
Black Friday status$459down from $599 on 19 OctCADR 391 cfm (Levoit US; 49 W is the US model), ~54 m² on the EPA rule | Pre-filter + carbon + HEPA | 49 W | App control | 4.6 stars from 6,171 ratings | Sold by VeSync (Levoit AU) | $459, RRP $599 (5 Nov 2026)
Check the Core 600S-P Price on Amazon →This one has already dropped: $599 on 19 October, $459 since. For a living area or open-plan space, it is the most clean air per dollar on this list at today’s price.
Good purifiers, wrong price on 5 November: Winix 5500-2 and Coway Airmega 400
Black Friday status$359.96was $279 on 28 OctPre-filter + carbon + HEPA + PlasmaWave (switch it off) | 4.6 stars from 27,695 ratings | Sold by Amazon AU | $359.96, RRP $399.99 (5 Nov 2026). Was $279 on 28 Oct
Check the Winix Zero Price on Amazon →A good purifier at the wrong price. At $279 it was the cheapest way to clean a 32 m² room; at $359.96 the Core 600S-P is better value. I would switch PlasmaWave off: Winix says you can, and it turns off automatically in Sleep mode.
Large rooms and smoke328 cfmsmoke CADR (Coway US)Smoke CADR 328 cfm (Coway US), ~46 m² on the EPA rule | 2 pre-filters + 2 Max2 carbon/HEPA filters | 66 W | Sensitive Choice approved | Sold by Coway Australia | $999 (5 Nov 2026), $799 on 19 Oct
Check the Airmega 400 Price on Amazon →$200 dearer than in October. Below $799 it is a strong buy for a large room or a smoke-season safe room; at $999, buy the Core 600S-P instead.
Stock up on genuine filters
If you already own a purifier, the best Black Friday buy may be its next filter. Buy the brand’s own filter from the brand or Amazon AU; the cheap “compatible” packs that fill the search results are not the filter the purifier was tested with.
| Filter | Fits | Price 5 Nov 2026 | Sold by |
|---|---|---|---|
| Levoit Core 300-RF (genuine) | Levoit Core 300 | $55 | VeSync (Levoit AU) |
| Winix Filter H 116130 (genuine) | Winix 5500-2 | $86.37 | Amazon AU |
| Coway AP-1019C-FP filter set | Coway Airmega 150 | $79.54 | Amazon US (imported) |
The Coway set on Amazon AU ships from Amazon US. For any filter, “a deal” is anything under these prices.
How to check a deal in 60 seconds
1. Compare with the tracker, not the RRP. If my “buy at or below” price is higher than the deal price, it is a real low. 2. Check who sells it. Under the Buy button, “Ships from” and “Sold by” should be Amazon AU or the brand’s Australian distributor. An overseas seller usually means no Australian warranty and filters that are hard to buy here. 3. Check the exact model. The Core 300 and Core 300S are different purifiers, and some Levoit and Winix listings carry plasma or ioniser versions. 4. Size it with the CADR. “Covers up to 80 m²” on the box is usually one air change an hour; the EPA rule gives a room about a fifth that size. 5. Read the conditions. The ACCC’s own advice: check prices before the sale starts, and check advertisements for disclaimers or conditions.
Sizing in detail is in the best air purifiers in Australia; for a tight budget, see the best air purifiers under $200, and for a big space, the best purifiers for large rooms.
Buy now, or wait?
If your pick is at or below its low in the live status at the top, there is little to gain by waiting, and smoke or pollen days do not wait for sales. Buying now and then watching the price costs you nothing to check.
If it shows “Wait”, wait. Put it in your Amazon cart so it is one tap away, then check back: I update the tracker through the sale. When it reaches its lowest recorded price or below, that is the time.
Don’t wait past summer if you need it for smoke. Demand rises when smoke arrives, and stock of a particular model can run short. A purifier sized properly for your bedroom, bought at a fair price before summer, beats a bargain you can’t get when the smoke arrives. The smoke-day setup is in the bushfire smoke guide.
Prices change by the hour during the sale. Check Amazon AU before buying.
Shopping for a water filter as well? I track those prices the same way: Black Friday water filter deals in Australia.
Price log
- 5 Nov 2026: First full record. Winix 5500-2 up to $359.96 (from $279 on 28 Oct). Philips 3200 back to $382. Philips 600i dropped from this page: Amazon AU now lists it only through Amazon Resale (used). Next update when Amazon’s sale starts on 17 November.
Frequently asked questions
When is Black Friday 2026 in Australia?
Black Friday is Friday 27 November 2026 and Cyber Monday is Monday 30 November. Amazon Australia’s Black Friday sale runs from Tuesday 17 November to Cyber Monday, as reported by TechRadar Australia.
Are air purifiers cheaper on Black Friday?
Sometimes, but not always against their real selling price. Four of the eight purifiers I track cost more on 5 Nov 2026 than in October, so a Black Friday discount may only bring them back to their October price. Compare with the lowest recorded price, not the RRP.
What is a good Black Friday price for the Coway Airmega 150?
At or below $254, the lowest I recorded on Amazon AU before the sale (19 October 2026). It was $299 on 5 Nov 2026. The live status at the top of this page shows its current price.
Is the Levoit Core 300 worth buying on Black Friday?
Yes. On 5 November it was $169, the lowest price I had recorded, sold by Levoit’s Australian distributor, and it suits a bedroom of about 15 m² on the EPA rule. Anything under $169 is a genuine saving.
Is the Amazon RRP a real price?
Treat it as a reference, not a selling price. The Philips 3200 lists an RRP of $549 but sold for $382 to $395 in every check I made from 19 October to 5 Nov 2026.
Should I wait for Boxing Day instead?
Only if your purifier is above its lowest recorded price and you don’t need it before January. If it is already at its low, or you want it ready for summer smoke, buy it during the Black Friday sale.
Which air purifier is best for bushfire smoke?
One sized for the room with the EPA rule, with a HEPA filter and no ozone. For a bedroom, the Coway Airmega 150 or Levoit Core 300; for a large room, the Levoit Core 600S-P or Coway Airmega 400. Run it on high with doors and windows shut.
