Does the Pure Water Systems warranty cover the filter cartridges?

The 12-month warranty on PWS systems covers manufacturing defects in the housing, fittings, UV chamber, and ballast electronics. Filter cartridges are consumables and are not covered under warranty — they are replaced at the scheduled interval regardless of defect. UV lamp failure within the rated 9,000-hour period would fall under the warranty; normal end-of-life lamp replacement does not.
